MY BACKGROUND IN ALCHEMY & NATUROPATHICS<\/span><\/p>\n

Like many people who go through a typical institutionalised education process, I too was subject to dogma and indoctrination, which imbued in me the belief that so-called western or mainstream medicine, the kind that is largely driven by pharmaceutical companies and their profit margin, was the most advanced form of medicine available, because indeed, we are supposedly on the cutting edge of progression, human evolution, and technological advancement.\u00a0 Or at least, that is what my education \/ indoctrination had led me to believe for the first 30 years of my life.\u00a0 My mother used to tell me\u00a0 that I was lucky to be brought up in a home where access to doctors and medical treatment was never an issue, and like many, I put unquestionable amounts of faith into western medicine and the breed of doctors and allopathic practitioners that came from University based medical schools.\u00a0 To this very day, my immediate family still believe in the virtues of modern \/ western medicine.\u00a0 Indeed, for a great proportion of my life, I believed that mainstream medicine is the dominant and original form of medicine.\u00a0 However, this is untrue.\u00a0 In fact, natural based medicines are the majority of medicine world wide.\u00a0 In fact, mainstream \/ western medicine only originated in the last century, specifically after the second World War.\u00a0 Before then, what we consider as scientific medicine, did not exist.\u00a0 What most people think of as modern medicine, revolves around hospitals and pharmaceutical treatments.\u00a0 This does not include surgery, which is a practice that goes back thousands of years, and is included in all alternative systems of medicine.\u00a0 Surgery benefitted from some of the results of Modern Industrial Medicine, such as anaesthetic, but in reality, surgical treatments have been a practice that has ensued for thousands of years.<\/span><\/p>\n

THE GREAT MEDICAL DIVIDE<\/span><\/p>\n

There are two distinct sides to medicine, health \/ healing, or two \u201ccamps\u201d if you like.\u00a0 On one side is Modern Industrialised Medicine, which is based on an industrial model that originates in the so-called \u201cscientific approach\u201d of the post World War II era of scientific development.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the west, we are mostly familiar with Modern Industrial Medicine.\u00a0 When one is unwell, you visit the doctor, who is the gatekeeper through the Modern Industrial Medicine system.\u00a0 We put unquestionable amounts of faith into the diagnosis of the doctor, who tells you what is wrong with you, and how to treat it, whilst using only the treatments within the system of Modern Industrial Medicine.<\/span><\/p>\n

IN BUSINESS WITH DISEASE<\/span><\/p>\n

The system of Modern Industrial Medicine is nothing more than a business.\u00a0 Very large sums of money pass through the system, even the national health systems of a nation, which gets paid via taxation.\u00a0 Indeed, the system of Modern Industrial Medicine is not much more than a commercial enterprise, which uses all the usual tactics, to protect its near monopoly over human health, such as disparaging anything which is outside its model.\u00a0 This model is heavy on diagnostics, lots of machines, tests, and pharmaceutical drugs.<\/span> Very large sums of money pass through this system, and all the usual rules of commerce apply.\u00a0 There are many vested interests who see the patient more in terms of a customer, than a suffering individual. If this is hard for you to fathom, consider this for one moment:\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

How does it financially benefit the Modern Medical Industry to have only healthy people about?\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

The answer is simple:<\/span><\/p>\n

It does not benefit them at all.\u00a0 A healthy population is of absolutely no benefit to Modern Medical Industry and the big pharmaceutical companies.\u00a0 Their focus is disease, not health.\u00a0 Indeed, the Modern Industrial Medical system, also henceforth referenced as \u201cBig Pharma\u201d are in business with disease.\u00a0 A healthy person \/ population does not make them money.<\/span><\/p>\n

A BALANCED PERSPECTIVE<\/p>\n

To be fair, there are useful aspects of the Modern Industrial Medical system, and many good people within that system.\u00a0 Some of the pharmaceuticals are useful, such as anaesthesia and analgesia.\u00a0 I personally am not against all mainstream medicine, as I try to remain objective about what is most useful for the individual patient in their particular circumstance.\u00a0 I also always advise anybody who has been taking pharmaceutical medication for a long period of time, to consult a Naturopathic Practitioner, before giving up your pharmaceutical drugs completely.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On the other side of the Great Medical Divide are the so called Alternative Medical Practitioners.\u00a0 On this side, all the disciplines and practices have a long history, and did not suddenly come into being after World War II.\u00a0 Alternative Medicine and therapies have a proven effect on the disease state, with a philosophy of treating the underlying cause of illness \/ disease, rather than the symptoms of said illness \/ disease, which is where the focus of the Modern Industrial Medical system lies, in treating the symptoms, not the cause, which is a very profitable model, as the root cause is never tackled, and thus the illness is never truly healed, thus symptoms will always present themselves, and said symptoms are then the aspect of illness \/ disease, that is treated by Modern Industrial Medicine.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

ALTERNATIVE IS AFFORDABLE<\/p>\n

Another very relevant point regarding Alternative Medicine is that there is no big money to be made.\u00a0 Alternative Medicine is affordable and accessible to the vast majority of people.\u00a0 \u00a0Ancient and traditional systems of medicine originated in parts of the world such as China and India, where the vast majority of people simply cannot afford expensive modern medicine, and thus the only option they have is to seek out ancient traditional remedies and treatments, which are often far more effective than their modern counterparts of the pharmaceutical age.<\/span><\/p>\n

Silver is perfectly edible and harmless to us once consumed.\u00a0 In fact, there is an ancient tradition of\u00a0using silver and gold foils, known as Vark or Varaka, to decorate food originated from the ancient Ayurvedic practice of using precious metals in healing foods.\u00a0 <\/i>Varaka is mentioned in several ancient Sanskrit documents, particularly in Ayurvedic and medical literature.
